Registration Calendar

Our travel registration process is dependent on the OHTSL calendar. We have to declare teams two months prior to the start of any season to allow time for division bracketing, play and coach carding and schedule creation. We do allow late sign ups if teams have open roster spots. Our academy registration closes two weeks prior to the start of the season to allow us time to assign training groups, finalize coaches and schedule games.

Vikings Academy - Spring 2026

The Vikings Academy is a program for children focused on soccer fundamentals and skill development. An academy is a concept based on professional soccer club systems from around the world. The emphasis is on developing players and FUN!

The academy is where players train in small groups. Each group has players of similar development progress. Players new to soccer will be together to begin their journey, while experienced players will be grouped with other players of equal development progress. This will allow players to feel comfortable within the groups, for each group to develop the same skills, and increase the players' development rate. Groups are divided by experience there will be no requesting training groups.

Our Pre-travel group will play 5-a-side games with goals and GKs for 8 Saturdays. The program is designed to prepare players for our Travel program by age 9.

Viking Academy

Birth Years: 2017 - 2021

Season: Aug 7th to May 26th.

Practices: Tuesday Night 5:30 - 6:15 or 6:30 - 7:30 @ Champion Events Center

Practices/Games: Saturday morning 9-9:45 or 10 - 11 @ Champion Events Center

Players should have the following:

Soccer ball size 3 or 4
Shin Guards
Socks that cover their shin guards
Low-top shoes
Soccer spikes preferred

Volunteer Coaches - Need one Per Training Group (8-10 coaches needed!)

Our volunteer coaches will run a training group of 8-12 players. They will set up and execute drills or manage substitutions for Pre-Travel games. Before each session, they will receive:

All coaching equipment they will need.
Goals will be set up and ready to use.
A practice plan with 4 drills, a diagram, and an explanation for each drill.
A director will be present to answer questions or provide support as needed.

We need parent support to be able to execute this program! Please sign up to help. No previous playing experience required, but it would be helpful.

Traveling Vikings - Spring 2026

This is registration for Traveling Vikings and our ID group. These teams are competitive teams that will travel within Northeast Ohio. Our Travel teams play in the Ohio Travel Soccer League with other community-based programs. The Middle School ID Program is designed to benefit the athletes who play at a higher level of soccer or other sports, in which the time commitment of the traditional travel program is too much.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Registration opens on January 22, 2026, and runs until February 15, 2026.
Team Creation/Declaration with the League starts January 20 to March 1st
New Players - uniform links will be sent in early March.
Team assignments and coach information will be communicated by the end of March.
Tentative practice schedules will be as similar as possible to the Fall season.
Practices start the week of April 7, 2026, and the first game will be on April 12, 2026.
Spring league game dates are 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/03, 5/10, 5/17, 5/31 -Weeknight games 4/20-24, and 4/27-5/1 Make up Date and last day to play Spring games 6/7. Final game schedules will be posted on April 6th.
The season ends on June 7, 2026.
