My child already plays competitive Club soccer, can they do both?
Yes, we reached out to the President of Ohio Travel and confirmed that many teams have players that do both. A player can be carded for Club and for a community team.
My child has never played competitive soccer before, is a travel team right for him/her?
Yes, just like in HS, skill levels will vary but the mixture of community players and competitive players will balance out just like with our competition.
Is North Canton Soccer Club affiliated with NC City Schools?
NCSC is not a school sport. The club was started by the 2019 High School coaching staff. We work closely with school system and community.
How far do travel teams have to travel?
Ohio Travel Soccer League has teams across Northeast Ohio. Our teams will be placed in divisions. Most divisions have regional subsets where we will play in the South or East region within the division. In these cases we will be playing teams as far as Greater Akron area including the area teams in the Greater Canton area. For the top division, there are few teams so travel will be within all Northeast Ohio including the Greater Cleveland area. For non-division 1 teams the OHTSL rule is no team will travel further than the duration of the age groups game. I

The Little Vikings programs are focused on fundamentals and skill development for younger players (ages 4-6). Children who are 6 years of age in this program should be new to soccer, with no prior experience. The program objectives are to promote enjoyment of player soccer with development for foot skills, passing, shooting and basic tactical concepts of attacking and defending. Each session will include instruction and game play. The only required necessities players will need are: a soccer ball (size 3 or 4), shin guards, spikes (preferred) and a water bottle. The cost is $25.00
The Junior Vikings programs are focused on fundamentals and skill development for younger players (ages 6-8). Children who are 6 years of age in this program should have prior soccer experience. The program objectives are to promote enjoyment of player soccer with development for foot skills, passing, shooting and basic tactical concepts of attacking and defending. The Junior Vikings will have one practice per week and one game on Sundays. The Junior Viking program will prepare players to continue their playing careers in our Traveling Vikings competitive program in the Ohio Travel Soccer League.
