North Canton Soccer Club

Our Programs

North Canton Soccer Club serves the North Canton School District and St. Paul’s School children from preschool through 8th Grade. We offer recreational and travel soccer programs serving all skill levels.NCSC is committed to providing a fun, competitive, and learning environment for our players and their families. Our directors are the High School Varsity coaches, and most of our coaches are former Hoover players. While we are not affiliated with the school system, we are tightly aligned with the High School programs.

Our recreation program, Academy, is for pre-school through 2nd graders. The Academy focuses on soccer fundamentals, skill development, and FUN. Our Academy has a curriculum for development from ages 4-5 through 2nd grade to prepare players for their soccer journey. For more information, visit our Academy Page.

Our travel program is for 2nd through 8th graders and plays in OHTSL, a Northeast Ohio community-based travel league. Each team practices twice a week, with a weekly Sunday afternoon game. We do not hold tryouts or cut players from our community teams, but we recommend players with previous soccer experience for this program. For more information, visit our Travel Page.

Our year starts in the fall and consists of three sessions: fall, winter, and spring. Registration for each session will open approximately 3 months before the season begins, allowing for team creation, player carding, and coach assignments. Each season has separate registration, and players can play all or select sessions based on their availability and desire. We will accommodate players who compete at Premier levels for soccer or other sports.

Vikings Academy - Spring 2026

The Vikings Academy is a program for children focused on soccer fundamentals and skill development. An academy is a concept based on professional soccer club systems from around the world. The emphasis is on developing players and FUN!

The academy is where players train in small groups. Each group has players of similar development progress. Players new to soccer will be together to begin their journey, while experienced players will be grouped with other players of equal development progress. This will allow players to feel comfortable within the groups, for each group to develop the same skills, and increase the players' development rate. Groups are divided by experience. There will be no requesting training groups.

Pre-travel(1st and 2nd graders) will play 5-a-side games with GKs for 8 Saturdays. The program is designed to prepare players for our Travel program by age 9.

Viking Academy

Birth Years: 2017 - 2021

Season: Aug 7th to May 26th.

Practices: Tuesday Night 5:30 - 6:15 or 6:30 - 7:30 @ Champion Events Center

Practices/Games: Saturday morning 9-9:45 or 10 - 11 @ Champion Events Center

Players should have the following:

Soccer ball size 3 or 4
Shin Guards
Socks that cover their shin guards
Low-top shoes
Soccer spikes preferred

Volunteer Coaches - Need one Per Training Group (8-10 coaches needed!)
