Vikings Academy

The Vikings Academy is a program for children from pre-school(4) to 2nd grade, focused on soccer fundamentals, skill development, and FUN. Our Academy has a curriculum for development from ages 4-5 through 2nd grade to prepare players for their soccer journey. The curriculum is split into three levels to help players progress. Each level builds from the start of the season to the end. Our travel teams, with a majority of academy players who started in Kindergarten or earlier, achieve better results and ascend to higher divisions more quickly than players who have come from other programs.

The Academy focuses on improving the individual player’s technique. Building a strong foundation of skills and good habits will provide lasting benefits to each player’s development. The development environment within the academy will allow players to be creative, learn, and enjoy playing the game. Players will develop the “feel” for the game through non-competitive games that evolve in length and structure as they progress.

All groups are split by grade and meet twice a week. Pre-school and Kindergarten groups are then divided by playing experience. Pre-school and new to soccer Kindergarten groups will practice for 80% of each session and spend 20% playing a game. Experienced kindergarten players and our Pre-travel (1st & 2nd Graders) group will spend the first two weeks practicing, then play games on Saturday mornings with practice on Tuesday. The pre-travel group is split into teams for all sessions.

Vikings Academy Outdoor Information

Birth Years: 2021 - 2017
Play Level: Academy - Non-Competitive
Cost: $35
Sessions: Two per week (Tuesday and Saturday) at Champion Event Center

The Vikings Academy programs are focused on fundamentals and skill development to prepare players for our Travel soccer program. There is no prior experience required to join this program. The program will meet players where they are and continue their development.

Everyone please bring or wear the following:

Shin guards
Long socks that cover their shin guards
Size 3 or 4 soccer ball
Water bottle

Schedule for the Academy (Spring 2026)

Season runs: April 7th to May 26th.

Academy Session 1(Pre-School and Kindergarten): Tuesday from 5:30-6:15 and Saturday 9-9:45
Each group will practice on their corresponding field number.

Academy Session 2 (1st & 2nd Grade): Tuesday from 6:30 - 7:30 and Saturday from 10:00-11:00
